The TÜV test mark - an important signal
"Climate neutral product" certification according to the TÜV NORD standard is directed towards all companies whose products are so-called "zero carbon" and who want to communicate this fact. The test mark granted for use as a result of successful certification rapidly draws the attention of consumers to the products and identifies the manufacturing company as a responsible organisation whose business is based on sustainability.
Utilising savings potentials
The prerequisite for certification is creation of a carbon footprint of the product in question. Valid CO2 certificates from climate protection projects should also be available in order to compensate for the CO2 emissions which have been calculated. Both the calculation of the emissions and the purchase and withdrawal from the market of the corresponding emission credits are reviewed in the course of the certification.
